Web Retainer Package

Just think of us as your “In-House” Web Department.

We love building great websites for our clients but it’s even more important to us to make sure those websites continue to function and prosper.

It’s a bit like hiring a landscaper to build you a gorgeous garden and then have them keep the lawn mowed, the beds weeded, and the bushes trimmed.

With a web retainer, we’ll ensure your shiny, happy website continues to perform well for you and your users. We’re also on hand should you need us for web design services and development.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Web Retainer?

A web retainer is an agreement between your business and ours that allows you to contract for as few as 5 hours of service per month. A web retainer gives you instant access to a wide range of professional web design and development services minus the usual overheads associated with a permanent employee.

What are the advantages of a Web Retainer?

By entering a web retainer agreement, you can save up to 15% or more on web design and development services. With a web retainer, Peak reserves your retainer time exclusively for you, so even if you have rush work, or an unplanned need, we can respond to your needs immediately.

The Web Retainer can be used for multiple small projects/jobs, removing the need to seek various estimates and paying multiple invoices. A web retainer can also stabilise your monthly services budget.

How do I create and pay for my Web Retainer?

You create your package by choosing the number of monthly design hours. Payments for your web retainer are due on the first of each month and are often done through direct debit. Contact us to discuss how a web retainer package can work for you and your business.

What services are included in a web retainer?

Web Retainer Packages include:

  • Web Design: Changes to your existing website such as new pages, news posts, elements, forms, images, content updates and social media graphics, image editing, newsletter template design etc.
  • Web Development: Management of your website from crucial security updates, plugin updates, forms, new pages, layout tweaks, HTML newsletter templates etc.

Web Retainer Packages do not include:

  • New Website Design: If you need a new website designed and developed from scratch, this will be quoted and billed as a flat fee.
  • External Purchases: Any services, add-ons, scripting, hosting or domain fees are billed in addition to your web retainer – We will consult with you before beginning any project work to identify these fees.

Will I receive an accounting of my hours?

Each month, Peak will prepare an invoice that shows all of the time we’ve spent on your projects along with your available hours.

What if I go over my hours?

Work that goes over your allotted hours will be recorded and billed at our standard hourly rate at the end of your agreement. Work outside of your hours will be scheduled in where possible.

What if I don’t use my hours?

At the end of the month, if you haven’t used up all of your retainer hours, we will roll over your leftover hours to next month. After one month, the “rollover” hours expire.
